ALOHA PRINCIPAL OSHIO

With endless gratitude and profound appreciation, we say mahalo to Principal Sheldon Oshio, who has retired after 34 years of extraordinary service to education, including 16.5 years at Waikele Elementary.

Through his visionary leadership and steadfast dedication, Principal Oshio has left a legacy of excellence. He was a steady force who faithfully ensured Waikele is a place where students do not just learn, but thrive. With leadership rooted in a genuine commitment to every student, family, and staff member, Principal Oshio lived our "Take Cares" every day and showed us the importance of taking care of ourselves, each other, and this place. He fostered innovation and built internal capacity, leaving a lasting impact.

Principal Oshio, you have shown us that we are part of something greater than ourselves. Because of you, generations of students, teachers, and leaders stand on your shoulders. We will deeply miss your presence and wish you a retirement filled with joy, rest, and pride in knowing your life’s work has inspired countless lives.

Mahalo and aloha, Principal Oshio
